Learn the foundations in a relaxed, hands-on session designed to build confidence and get you started on your sewing journey.

  • Starting from the very beginning, we’ll go through the parts of the machine, how to thread it up, basic stitches, seam allowances and heaps more. You’ll learn the foundations to start sewing with confidence in a cosy, relaxed and slow paced session.

Meet your machine

Bring your sewing machine and finally figure out what all the knobs actually do.
We’ll thread it, troubleshoot it, and turn confusion into confidence.

  • Anyone who owns a sewing machine but feels slightly (or wildly) intimidated by it.

  • Hands-on help threading, adjusting, and troubleshooting your machine so you leave knowing exactly how to use it. Practice some basic stitches and get yourself set up for sewing at home.

beginners Sewing workshop

Your first finished project in just 90 minutes.
Learn the basics while making something cute, wearable, and guaranteed to give you a little “I made that!” moment.

  • Beginners who want a fun, achievable project without diving into the deep end.

upcycled bucket hats workshop

Turn pre-loved textiles into a bold, wearable statement. This intermediate workshop is all about precision, creativity, and making a custom bucket hat that turns heads.

  • Intermediate sewers who feel comfortable sewing independently and want a creative challenge.

  • Precision sewing, curved seams, and thoughtful construction as you create a bold, upcycled bucket hat from start to finish, completely tailored to you.

make a custom top (4 week course)

Learn to sew from the ground up and finish with a custom upcycled top or pants made in your size.
Over four weeks, you’ll build skills, confidence, and a garment you’ll genuinely want to wear.

  • Beginners who want to properly learn to sew and finish with a garment that fits their body.

  • Four structured sessions covering everything from machine basics to garment construction, culminating in your own custom upcycled item of clothing.

Stitch & Bitch Social Sessions

Bring your project, your machine, and your unfinished business. A relaxed, drop-in, social sewing arvo with good company, gentle guidance, and zero pressure.

  • Anyone with a project in progress who wants company, conversation, and a little guidance along the way.

  • An unstructured, social sewing session with gentle troubleshooting support and a welcoming creative atmosphere.

    Machines provided, or BYO machine if you prefer.

Pin and tonic home sessions

Host a private sewing night at your place with up to five friends.
I’ll bring the machines, materials and guidance, you invite a few friends, pour a drink, and settle in for a night of making.

  • Groups of friends looking for a creative night in, tailored to your collective skill level.

  • A private, fully-hosted sewing experience at your home, with all materials supplied and a project chosen to suit your group.

    We’ll tailor the night to your skill level and experience. Maxiumum 6 people, session lasts approximately 2.5 hours. Flick me an email to check availability and dates!

    Alcohol not provided, but all machines, material and equipment are included in the booking.

Mini makers

Creative sewing classes designed just for kids. We’ll focus on fun, achievable projects while teaching safe machine skills and foundational techniques.

  • Creative kids (from 10 years old) who love making things and are ready to learn how to use a sewing machine safely.

  • Fun, achievable projects taught at a gentle pace, with clear guidance, encouragement, and lots of proud finished pieces to take home.
